A messenger should not need a company behind it.

Every mainstream messenger, however well encrypted, still runs through one operator. That operator knows who you talk to, when, and from where. It can be bought, pressured or shut down.

MNDO removes the operator. Identity is a keypair on your device. Transport is a mesh of interchangeable Nostr relays. Encryption is the Signal Protocol, applied end to end and at rest. What remains is a conversation between two keys, and nothing in the middle worth attacking.
